Frequently Asked Questions

  • You need to bring your *camera, *charged batteries, *memory card with room for shooting and *clothing appropriate for the weather on the day. *You will only need your tripod in the night workshop.
  • The Workshops run twice a day 845am to 12pm and 130pm to 430pm. We are likely to run a little over time.
  • You can bring any camera to the workshops from digital SLR to digital hybrid cameras also digital point and shoot cameras. Digital cameras are best as we can work everything on the spot then if you have a film camera you can simply use the same principles as you have learnt with you digital camera
  • In the initial workshop we deal specifically how to take good photo’s. You will use primarily auto and semi auto mods in your camera, this workshop deals with composition, how to see like a photographer and minor functions in your camera.
  • We do not try to tackle how the workings of your camera (aperture and shutter speeds) in the first workshop as it becomes very confusing.
  • It is the advanced workshop that you will use your camera on full manual to further understand what ISO, Aperture and shutter do and how they work together.
  • Night workshop the start times will vary depending on the time of year earliest start times are from 6pm to 9pm in the late autumn/ winter and around 8pm/ 930pm to 11pm/1230am in the summer months . The night workshops are $125 and go for 3 hours *you will need a tripod for this workshop to get the most benefits.
  • Workshop numbers are kept low, they are limited to between 1 and 5 participants unless it is a group booking.
  • Photography Made Easy workshops and walking tours are a premium service with limited numbers in the workshops at an affordable price, *there are no discounts. There are group rates for 20 or more participants. For this you will need to contact me to arrange details.
  • Minors are welcome at Photography Made Easy. There are no “child” (under 18 years of age) rates the price is already affordable at $125 per person. Minors (under 18) by law MUST be accompanied by an adult. All persons pay $125 as the numbers in workshops are limited. For minors it is encouraged for the accompanying adult to also bring a camera this make it fun and you can discus photography concepts for better understanding.
  • Guests are welcome. All people on the workshop must pay $125 per person. Please remember this is a photography workshop if you bring a guest they must also pay full price $125 as this takes limited spots needed for photography participants. Any guests understand that they pay full price and that they are on a photography workshop. The photography workshop comes first at all times ahead of sightseeing seeing or interests outside photography.
  • Recipients of gift vouchers may choose between the three Australian workshop that they feel best suite them. Gift certificates are for 3 months and may not be transferred or refunded.
  • Workshops still run in inclement weather so long as it is not raining too hard.
  • To book all workshops must be prepaid for scheduling, book keeping and safety reasons. I do not carry cash.
