A Mirca Art Project

“Different landscapes same people”

Different landscapes same people is an international arts project between Australia, Germany and Malta. This is a Mirca Art Project http://mirca-art.com/ coordinated by me with the assistance of teachers from

Australia: Steven Fernando, Principal Beveridge Primary School, Beveridge Victoria

Germany: Heinz Gövert, 2nd vice headmaster (subjects: Social Sciences, English) at Städtische Realschule Gevelsberg North-Rhine Westphalia.

Malta: Henrietta Mallia (subject: art) St Thomas More College Girls' Junior Lyceum  Zejtun

The Motto "Different landscapes same people” is “Young people from three different countries learning from each other”.

"The students of these schools are about to embark on this cross cultural journey as they communicate with each other through art. They will talk about the environment and the differences of there respective homes. They in effect will use there collective voice via positive actions to communicate to the world through the great cultural language of art, this transcends our accents and radiates good will. Each school will produce an exhibition in their respective countries of there work as well as showing a selection of there new found friends artwork as well"

This project is about the cooperative and positive communication by the future being the students of the world for our future being our universal environment as they work through there cultural, language and geographical differences. These students should be viewed as young cultural ambassadors of there countries.

Special thanks to Heinz, Steve and Henrietta without there creative forward and progressive thinking these opportunities and projects for their students and their respective countries of origin can’t work.
